I’ve been browsing through fitspo blogs the whole afternoon and watching triathletes relive their races (especially Ironman!) and holy shit has that had an impact on my run today.
I was replaying a triathlete’s marathon pace (which was still wicked fast) throughout my 10K run today, and I ended up finishing the first 5K in 20m50s! That’s my personal best by 4-5 minutes! :D And it’s without the sprinting at the end, heh. I finished 10K in 48min (another PB) so I guess that’s where motivation gets you.
Breakfast: Muesli, yogurt, flaxseeds, honey, strawberries
Snack 1: 1 vegan silver dollar pancake w/ no sugar added blueberry jam
Snack 2: Watermelon slice, banana, some almonds
Lunch: Subway veggie delite on wheat bread, with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, capsicums and olives
Snack 3: 1 slice of low fat cheese, some almonds and pumpkin seeds/sunflower seeds/dried fruit
Snack 4: A really small piece of bread with cream and chocolate (like 50kcals small)
Pre-run: 2 apples (I WAS REALLY HUNGRY OKAY)
Post-run: Skim milk w/ oats, 1 tbsp drinking cocoa w/ hot water, 1 egg (fried in no oil/fat on a nonstick pan heh) w/ parmesan, rosemary and pepper
Dinner: 1 plate bok choy and Chinese broccoli
Supper: Orange
5K race in September! :D Next will be a 10K, then 21K, then 30K then marathoooon here I come. ;) My goals are still: 1) run a trail run, 2) complete a 21K, 3) get a sub-6 mile (right now my fastest 5K is still at a 6:42 mile, but I don’t know my single mile timing) and 4) do a tempo run.
P.S. HOLY SHIT I RAN 5K IN 21MIN
