Dress of the Day, Monday 4th October, 2010.
It's October!!! It's been very busy here in doll-land, and set to become even busier which is great! I'm going to appear in a documentary which will hopefully be ready for release at the end of this year or early 2011; discussing emotional attachment to clothing and the perceived 'transformative-effects' our favourite or 'lucky' outfits have on us. In the meantime there are a million shifts at work to complete, auditions to hustle for, a trip to the Philipines in November to finish organising, a jewellery line to launch and more steps towards Vogue to be taken...and because of that I've decided that this dress, and Emily Blunt inside it, best captures the mood of a doll living life to the fullest.

I would so appreciate 2-3 extra hours in my day today and tomorrow. It feels like there's an impossible amount to get through. Better get my skates on and give it a red-hot go! Have a lovely day! xo

I'm in the library eating a mandarin, drying my toenails, posting this and researching Glamour Theory. I've found a great essay on "Hollywood Glamour and Mass Consumption in Postwar Italy" in the Journal of Cold War Studies.... cause I always knew I'd end up right there in the thick of the flipping Cold War!
With assorted nail polishes, mandarins, phone and charger and internet access I honestly don't know why I've failed to pack a sleeping bag and just move in. Would save me a lot of hassle really.
